It was after a weekend getaway to NYC that the truth about pictures don't lie came true for me. My husband Jaime and I were able to leave our 3 children ages at the time (5,2 & 1) at grandma's house.
I felt good about myself and my body with the little or sporadic workouts I actually completed. I would train for a 5K for a few weeks, run the race and stop training. Or pick up a DVD workout since getting to the gym was not even a thought with 3 little ones and a gym membership did not fit into our budget.
So when I was looking through the pictures from our trip, I just wasn't happy with the two people I saw. We were eating healthier, but we were not getting the exercise we needed to be in great shape and be fit like we used to be. I wasn't sure what my personal plan was to attack this issue and feel better about what I saw in the mirror but I knew it was almost February and that meant for this Florida girl Beach season was right around the corner. Gotta get working out!
A few days later my husband brought home Insanity ( I had never heard of it prior to this) I did not do any research before we started. We set a date to press play and we never looked back we did 60 days of intense and sweaty workouts that took my body from blah and tired to amazing both inside and out. I felt like I could take on the workout world again.
Here are my before and after pictures 60 days of Insanity.
I will talk about our eating in future posts, for now take this away with you. "No matter what workout you choose to press play to, give it all you've got and you will not regret it" The days are going to come and go no matter if you workout or not so let's get moving!
Enjoy your day and Push Play!

Why I decided to join the Beachbody family and be a Beachbody coach
Today I am setting up my Beachbody coach website.
Some ask why take on one more thing? You are already a wife, stay at home mom, homeschool your children, along with many other hats I wear.
My answer is because Beachbody has changed my life in the past 1 1/2 years and I want to share my journey and my new healthier balanced life that I just cannot stop talking about.
I have found time to workout and get back into shape without a gym membership. I do not have to find childcare all while saving time and money by not having to drive to a gym.
And as a coach I get to do what I am already doing and that's talking about choosing a healthier lifestyle and Beachbody and everything I love about it.
My Beachbody journey started way back in 2008 after my first baby was born. I didn't even know it what Beachbody was, but I joined my sisters in doing Power90 with Tony Horton. I loved the flexibility of working-out on my time, in my own environment and I was sore while getting amazing post-baby results. Little did I know years later my husband would be bringing home the toughest Beachbody workout ever "Hello Insanity" ShaunT is someone who has the gift of fitness and encouragement.
I started Insanity February 2012 and I will share my Insanity Journey with you in future posts but for now lets start you on your own fitness journey. You never know where it will lead you, so far mine has led me to you. I hope I can encourage, guide and set an example for living the healthiest, happiest and most fulfilled life.

Renewed Day by Day
I was working-out the other day when Jillian Michaels (JM) said something that stuck with me while working out, but the comment led me into an entirely different thought process altogether days later during our church worship service. The comment was "start being comfortable with being uncomfortable" how many times have we heard something similar while being in the gym "no pain no gain" "pain hurts" "hard work pays off" and the sayings go on and on.
In 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 Paul is speaking about being a Christian and outwardly we are wasting away but inwardly we are being renewed day by day. As Christians we need to start being comfortable with being uncomfortable. This land is not our home and we should not be comfortable here, we are travelers in a foreign land. That does not mean God doesn't want you to enjoy your life and have abundance here on earth but He wants and desires to give you that abundance as your Heavenly Father. Being comfortable or compliant with the worldly behavior in which we are surrounded by should not be accepted in our lives. We are not to sit and slumber here on earth, but we need to be awaken to the truth and knowledge that God has bigger and better abundances in our final home for those that start getting uncomfortable here take heart.
2 Cor 4:17 says "our momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all"
2 Cor 5:9 says "we make it our goal to please Him whether we are at home in the body or away from it".
So I urge you to start being comfortable with being uncomfortable as you live as Christians are called to live by faith for what is unseen.
Amen.
You could say to yourself this has nothing to do with health and wellness and what is this blog? and blogger trying to get at?
Well the Well-Watered Garden does not exist apart of God and as this year is in it's early stages my prayers and hope are that this Garden's future flourishes more and more everyday; not only as a ministry but also as a pathway to help and facilitate the renewal of bodies to live stronger and healthier lives here on earth. I hope this encourages you to take that step and remember each day is a new day and as Paul wrote in 2 Cor. in Jesus we are renewed day by day.

The things that come to mind while cleaning the house.
My head never stops thinking and replaying scenarios and encounters I have with others. Today I am attempting to put away Christmas decorations, finish the laundry and grocery shop; to get all this done today would be a present to myself for starting a new year and my mind continues to think.
I re-live many daily experiences in my mind throughout the day and well into the evening, some are silly like what was said at the playground or did I ever remember to go back into the room I was picking up or did my children take their vitamins today. But a few things stand out more than the daily tasks I set for myself (which I might add are numerous). I had an encounter with a hostess the other night she mentioned her Grandmother had a heart attack on Christmas and I was so taken-back that out of the blue this girl says this to me, I did not even tell her I would pray for her and her family or her grandmother. I guess this incident really bothered me because it tops my list as I'm not as big and bold for Jesus as I should be.
So my prayer and thoughts today led me to the Vine and the Vinedresser I don't want to be the vine that bears no fruit or even the vine that has some fruit I want and desire the vine that as much fruit. And I pray that this year 2012 I allow the vinedresser to prune and protect me so that I produce the fruit He intended to be produced from me.
Happy New Year and allow yourself to be made perfect in His image.
