An Investment in Health

It’s that time of year when many families are talking about budgets, paying off some debt, weekly savings plans. It’s all out there for us to research, the forms to fill in, calculators, self help guides and audio teachings etc.

The same goes for just about anything we want to invest in or focus our time and efforts on. Honestly we tried the 52 weeks savings plan last year and we made it to about week 8, then life happened and it wasn’t on our radar anymore the “new year” resolutions hype was over and so was our savings plan. Now I understand may have conquered the savings plan and I say great job! I’m sure you scarified on some weeks to make it happen.

The resolution for health and fitness is the number 1 resolution and most individuals have the same perspective come week 8 the momentum is over and the Hype has died down and we revert back into our old “easy” ways of life. Maybe more takeout, less gym time or the cancelled the class you loved, TV and video game time increase, you eat less veggies and more junk food. Because let’s face it; they make it easy and we are busy people.

But an unhealthy lifestyle is a lot less forgiving than an unsuccessful 52 weeks savings plan. I’m not saying that we should live without a savings plan, what I’m saying is we need to live a healthy well balance lifestyle that will last a lifetime. Unlike an inheritance that is usually squandered away these days, giving your family the gift of a healthy foundation can last for generations to come.
Think about how you treat your body and the focus you place on your health. Is it a positive focus or always negative looking for the next easy fix?

Just like all the advice we hear and books we can read about savings, the same goes for our health and fitness, unfortunately the same results happen, we can read, plan, write down our goals, but until we put them in to action every day, weeks and months we have not truly made an investment in our health and fitness. Think of it as your 52 weeks of a health investment, not a quick fix. It took you this many years to get you where you are and it just might take you the same to do a 180 on your lifestyle, but trust me it’s worth it and you are worth it. Look around and ask yourself “are the generations that follow you worth it?”

I’m here to help you complete your 52 weeks of a health plan. So this time next year you are not setting the same goals for your health but reaching further and setting even greater goals why? Because you are going to be in the best health of your life, maybe you’ve always wanted to run a marathon, need to quit smoking or get off medicines, perhaps better health gives you a better job making savings more attainable and therefore a vacation is in your future. The possibilities are endless when you give yourself the respect you need to reach your fitness goals, increase your energy and gain confidence to go where you want to go.

Joy for fitness encourages you to dream your biggest dream, but when you wake up it is time to get working on making it happen. Believe in 2014 that you will be blessed for the work you have done.
